How to Compute Your PhilHealth Contribution

The formula is straightforward:

Total Premium = Monthly Basic Salary × 5%
Employee Share = Total Premium ÷ 2
Employer Share = Total Premium ÷ 2

Important rules:

  • If salary is below ₱10,000 — use ₱10,000 as the base (minimum premium ₱500)
  • If salary is above ₱100,000 — use ₱100,000 as the base (maximum premium ₱5,000)
  • Bonuses, overtime, and allowances are NOT included in the computation base
  • Self-employed and voluntary members pay the full 5% themselves
